Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has knocked lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju, over his criticism of recent demolitions in Abuja.
Adeyanju, Vincent Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan) and others led a protest against Wike’s handling of the demolition of Ruga, a settlement along Airport Road.
Adeyanju said “there is no justification for this demolition,” and asked President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the matter.
The protesters also had placards calling President Tinubu to sack Wike.
However, Wike, in an interview with journalists, claimed Adeyanju was merely seeking attention due to being “jobless.”
He revealed that Adeyanju had previously requested to become the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but was rejected.
He said: “I saw one young man, they call him Adeyanju. He is from Kogi State.
