President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries to fill existing and impending vacancies in the federal civil service.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The appointments, confirmed on December 16, aim to address administrative gaps while ensuring balanced representation across the country.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State), Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State), Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State), Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State), Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State), Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State), Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State), and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State).
The appointments were made following a thorough selection process overseen by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The process identified candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and ability to contribute to the effective administration of the civil service.
President Tinubu has tasked the newly appointed officials with demonstrating diligence, innovation, and a commitment to excellence in their roles.
