A heartwarming reunion is on the horizon as former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd), Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, would be joining other dignitaries to celebrate the NYSC Plateau Alumni of 1987/88 Set in Lagos.
Speaking with the Group Leader of the Alumni Group, Ms. Jadesola Gbago, she revealed that the much-anticipated gathering, which is the inaugural Alumni Reunion of the 1987/88 Plateau State Corps members would take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the BWC Hotels, Victoria Island.
Aptly themed ‘Together Again’, Ms. Gbago noted that the reunion promises to rekindle cherished connections and celebrate the enduring bonds formed decades ago. “The gathering marks the first-ever re-union of NYSC Alumni and aims to celebrate the achievements of the NYSC Alumni and foster networking and collaboration among members,” she stated. “It also aims to reflect on the Corps’ contributions to national development while honouring General Gowon’s pioneering role in shaping the NYSC,” she added.
