Among the Ministers, a few have stood out for their exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to their respective portfolios.

A succinct analysis by KTNN places the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa at the top of the ladder in terms of innovative initiatives and impact on the Nigerian populace.

Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa

Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, has been a shining star, spearheading the innovative “Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme” to tackle the country’s long-standing housing deficits. Under his visionary leadership, numerous housing projects are being developed to provide shelter for countless citizens. His upgrading of slums initiative is also bringing about cutting-edge solutions for urban development, transforming cities and improving the quality of life for Nigerians. With the way Dangiwa is going, in another 12 months, the issue of housing deficit would have been greatly addressed, given his initiative of providing 100,000 units of housing nationwide. His dedication, expertise, and results-oriented approach have earned him a stellar 9.5/10 rating, making him the top-performing Minister of the year.

Nyesom Wike

Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, has also made significant strides in transforming the Federal Capital Territory. His infrastructure development projects have improved security, sanitation, and economic growth, making Abuja a more attractive place to live, work, and invest. His efforts have earned him a 9.2/10 rating, solidifying his position as one of the outstanding ministers of the year.

David Umahi

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, has made notable progress in addressing the country’s infrastructural challenges, improving road networks and public works and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians. His leadership has demonstrated a clear understanding of the sector’s challenges and opportunities, earning him an 8.8/10 rating.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo

The vibrant Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, has demonstrated strong leadership,  enhanced the country’s internal security, border management, and immigration services, earning him an 8.5/10 rating.

Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN

Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, the Minister of Justice, has made significant progress in reforming the justice sector. Through his oversight over the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), there has been a vibrant war against drug trafficking. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye

Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite

Another woman makes the list list her stellar contributions to the adminiatration’s highlights. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, has made efforts to boost economic growth and development. Her initiatives have improved the business environment, attracted investments, and enhanced Nigeria’s global competitiveness, earning her a 7.8/10 rating.

Wale Edun

Next is Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, has navigated the country’s financial challenges with expertise. His efforts have stabilized the economy, improved fiscal management, and enhanced revenue generation, earning him a 7.5/10 rating.

 

Mohammed Idris

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, has played a crucial role in communicating government’s policies and programs. His efforts have improved public awareness, engagement, and access to information, earning him a 7.2/10 rating.

Bosun Tijani

Also making the list is Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, who has made progress in developing the country’s digital infrastructure. His initiatives have improved connectivity, innovation, and the digital economy, earning him a 7.0/10 rating.

While some Ministers have excelled, others have left much to be desired and need to intensify their efforts to meet the expectations of the nation. The government’s performance over the next 12 months will depend on the collective efforts of the ministers to address the country’s challenges and harness its opportunities.
