Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for the adoption of technology and stronger synergy among stakeholders to enhance the business environment in Nigeria
Shettima made the call on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at a meeting of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He stressed that a robust engagement among stakeholders and adopting relevant technology would help in addressing bottlenecks experienced by operators in the nation’s entry points and in the area of business regulations.
Earlier, Special Adviser to the President on PEBEC and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, said the Council had launched a 90-day Regulatory Reform Accelerator Action Plan.
She said the action-plan would deliver measurable export-focused impact for productivity and competitiveness across key sectors.
Oduwoye said the plan would improve the Nigerian business environment and support the economic reforms initiatives of the President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
