As the Super Eagles prepare to face South Africa in the African Cup of Nations AFCON semi-finals clash (today) Wednesday, the Lagos State Government has set up a mega viewing centre at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The viewing centre is part of 25 others all over the state to encourage residents to enjoy the best African Cup of Nations AFCON showpiece since it started on January 13 in Cote’D’Ivoire.

The clash with the Bafana Bafana at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake is the fourth tournament meeting, with the Eagles winning the three previous games, set to kick off by 6 pm.

According to the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso,  in a statement on Tuesday, he noted that it was important for the fans to watch the match as Lagos has the largest base of the team’s supporters.

“Mr Governor expressed the hope that the national team will triumph in the match because the team has so far shown the capacity and technical know-how to win,” Omotosho said.
