The newly sworn-in Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of all revenue collections across the state, particularly in motor parks, until further notice.

The Governor’s spokesperson, Fred Itua, announced the directive on Wednesday in Benin, stating that the governor has also instructed the State Commissioner of Police to arrest anyone who disregards the suspension order.

The statement also highlighted further key appointments, including Musa Ikhilor, a lawyer, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Dr. Samson Osagie, a former member of the House of Representatives, as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
